Elizabeth is an anaesthetist with over 20 years’ experience in clinical medicine and medical education in PNG and the Pacific. She is passionate about enhancing healthcare in PNG through improved decision-making at health system, financing, and policy levels.
In her most recent role based in Port Moresby, Elizabeth gained valuable experience as part of a dedicated international emergency response team while working for a global company.
She has also worked as a specialist clinician and medical school lecturer in PNG and Fiji, and experienced resource scarcity challenges firsthand while working as a doctor in rural PNG hospitals.
Her diverse experiences have motivated her to pursue her current Master’s degree and contribute to creating a healthcare system that is of higher quality, better resourced, and accessible to her people.
