Australia Awards Women Leading and Influencing (WLI) is developing the skills, confidence and connections of leaders to drive positive change in the Pacific region.
WLI provides a range of developmental leadership offerings to Pacific Australia Awards scholars studying at Australian universities and institutions. It is a four-year, A$8 million on-Award (in-Australia) and reintegration (in-Pacific) enrichment program of the Australian Government.
The program builds on the preceding Women’s Leadership Initiative Pilot (2017–2022) to enhance support for WLI alumni returning home and the role of men supporting women as change agents.
From interactive events with high-profile speakers to participation in bespoke leadership programs and funded professional development, scholars and alumni engage at a level that suits their individual interests and availability.
Alumni returning home to the Pacific stay connected to the vast WLI network of leaders and access exclusive opportunities to grow professionally and collaborate on real-life developmental leadership projects in the region.
