Ayesha is an aspiring international development professional passionate about promoting locally-led development in PNG. She has nine years’ experience working in project management, monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning in the public and development sectors.
For three of these years, Ayesha contributed to monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the Papua New Guinea-Australia Transport Sector Support Program. She also became the Chair of and co-created the Young Professionals Network, a platform to advocate for and support young employees’ growth, development, and engagement within the organisation.
Ayesha hopes to build her leadership capacity to advocate for development approaches and initiatives that honor and incorporate local voices and indigenous knowledge; including in decision-making processes. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the Pacific Adventist University.
