Elizabeth has a background in finance, banking and business information systems, and has worked for the Bank of the South Pacific for 15 years. Her experiences have led her to undertake a doctorate that looks into the mobile phone usage of PNG’s smallholder farmers, and how mobile phones could be used to improve farmers’ livelihood options .Following her studies, Elizabeth will investigate how PNG banking services can better respond to the needs of the country’s rural women so that these women can be included in the formal financial sector and improve their livelihoods, status and quality of life.

Elizabeth also is a youth leader and Sunday School teacher, and has coached and mentored young professionals.
