Clarissa Jeremiah
Nauru

Master of Governance and Public Policy

University of Queensland, QLD

As CEO of the Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation, Clarissa has proved she is a committed community leader. Through her current studies, she plans to break through the glass ceiling and play a significant role in Nauru’s rehabilitation policy and decision-making processes. Clarissa is the first woman CEO appointed by Cabinet to manage a State Owned Enterprise.

Clarissa aims to use her voice to advocate for more robust capacity development programs, and to work with Nauruan landowners and owners of phosphate mines on land rehabilitation. She plans to be part of leading Nauru towards a sustainable and viable future, beyond reliance on the phosphate mining industry and regional processing centres.
