Papua New Guinea
Master of International Community Development

Beautlyn is an aspiring community development specialist with expertise in language research, media and marketing, and advocacy. She has worked as the Influencing and Advocacy Officer for Oxfam in Papua New Guinea (PNG) where she supported local partners to build their capacity to create strategies to advocate for and influence behavioural change.

Upon her return to PNG, Beautlyn would like to approach community development in multi-cultural and multi-lingual ways that encourage localisation. She is passionate about addressing cultural barriers to mental health in the Pacific, including stigma. Beautlyn hopes her participation in WLI will help her build the necessary networks, skills, and experience to drive positive social change in her community and country.
